In a week one of the high school football season Hazen Jr ATH Corbin Walker had himself a night. Corbin is a big time two-way player for Hazen and proved it on Friday night by having 16 catches for 195 yards and 4TD’s. Corbin said “My keys to having such a big game is to get before and stay focused on my assignment. Making routine plays, doing what’s expected out of me by my coaches and teammates.” When asking Corbin if he has ever had a game like this his response was “My sophomore year, last year I had a game like this, had about 200 yards and 3 TDs and I came out of it with a lot of confidence. My coaches made some great play calls and my quarterback put the ball right where it needed to be, and I was fortunate enough to make big plays. On the recruiting front Corbin, has been patient saying, “I have talked with a handful of coaches this last spring at camps. Most recently have had some D1 coaches reach out to me via Twitter and let me know they are watching me. I hope for the communication to pick up throughout my junior year.
