The Matchup of #2 Woodinville (0-0) vs #9 Bothell (0-0) will be the best matchup in Kingco 4A this year. Both Bothell and Woodinville are legitimate state contenders this year not to mention heated rivals as well. We expect nothing but a great game at Pop Keeney Stadium.

A Look Into Bothell

Bothell is led by its 5-star quarterback and University of Washington commit Jacob Sirmon. When Jacob goes to the air his main target is senior Da’Vicious Wilson (6’3 170) as well as juniors Riley Morrison (5’9 170), and senior Dylan Singh (6’2 190). On the ground the cougars are led by sophomore Christian Galvan (5’9 170).

Keys to winning

The biggest Key for Bothell will be their secondary; Woodinville this year will be led by their passig attack is spearheaded by senior Montana commit Nash Fouch (6’3 185) and senior tight end Jared Eisenbarth (6’2 210) if Bothell wants to win they need to stop the Woodinville passing attack.

The X Factor

The X Factor for Bothell will be Sophomore running back Christian Galvan. After splitting reps as a freshman Galvan takes the reigns as the work horse for the cougar ground game. It will be imperative for Bothell to feed Galvan so they use as much clock as possible to keep the potent Woodinville offense off the field.

A look into Woodinville

This year’s Woodinville team is one of the best teams they’ve had in recent memory with athletes all over the field. Woodinville is led under center by Senior Jaden Scheffy (6’1 180). In the air it’s all about senior Montana commit Nash Fouch, and up front is 3-star OT Cade Beresford who holds offers from all over the country.

Keys to winning

For Woodinville, the major key is to get a push up front from their D Line. You cannot give Jacob Sirmon time to throw if you do I don’t care how good your secondary maybe he will torch it will his ability to sling the ball. If Woodinville can get a good pass rush on Sirmon and make it difficult to throw the ball they will be just fine.

The X Factor

The X Factor for Woodinville is Senior Tight End Jared Eisenbarth. With all the attention being on Nash Fouch and rightfully so this is the type of game Woodinville needs Jared to be huge. If Jared can exploit the middle of the Bothell defense it will open up other avenues for Woodinville to exploit.

Bottom Line

This will be the best game in Kingco no doubt and the fact that its week 1 bothers me but that’s for another day.

This game is honestly a complete toss up but I am going with Woodinville to win 28-24.
